"A good specimen, runs well in engine and drivetrain. There are minor blemishes on the body. Inspected until 2025-11-30 and ready to drive."

Description

The car was purchased in Umeå in 1998 and had only driven about 10,000 kilometers at that time. It has been in Lycksele ever since with the same owner and has been sparingly used on unsalted winter roads during the winter, and used for holiday trips with a caravan during the summer. Furthermore, the car has been meticulously maintained throughout the years. The purchase of spare parts, servicing, and repairs are carefully recorded in a log book that comes with the car.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

The car runs well in terms of engine and drivetrain. It sounds as it should, without any rattling or clunking. The braking system also appears to be in good condition.

  • Interior condition:

The condition of the interior shows that it has been used but well maintained and cared for. The tops of the door sides are wrinkly in a typical Volvo manner. The pocket on the left front door has cracked plastic. The seats have slipcovers. There is a picture of the driver's seat without the cover. What is not visible in these pictures is that the driver's seat has been repaired with duct tape on the underside of the seat cushion on the left side. The headliner is clean and tidy.

  • Exterior condition:

A paint that is in normal condition considering the car's age and mileage. There are some touch-ups and stone chips. There are a few dents and scratch marks/touch-ups on the bumpers.

  • General condition:

A Volvo 940 in normal condition for its mileage and in a drivable and usable state.

Facts about the model

The Volvo 940 was introduced in 1991 and remained in production until 1998. The model became known for being trouble-free and reliable. As it was largely a further development of previous models, it employed proven technology, which rarely caused any problems. With the low-pressure turbo (designated as LTT), there is plenty of torque available even at low revs.
