Description
The car has had just seven registered owners since new. The current owner, a dedicated Volkswagen enthusiast, purchased it nearly ten years ago from a friend who had owned it briefly. Prior to that, the car was purchased from a dealer in Småland, while earlier in its history it remained with the same owner for an impressive 34 years.
The odometer currently reads 104,309 km, although the actual total mileage cannot be verified.

The car was repainted in Polar Silver, having originally left the factory in Stratos Silver. The repaint is believed to have been carried out around 15–20 years ago. Today, the car remains solid and nicely presented, with no significant rust issues noted. There are a few minor paint imperfections and signs of age, as expected from an older repaint.
It has a subtle Outlaw-inspired appearance, sitting slightly lower on genuine Lemmerz Porsche 356 wheels. The suspension has been tastefully modified with dropped spindles and a CB Performance adjustable front beam, providing a comfortable ride despite the lowered stance.
Recent mechanical improvements include a new exhaust system, clutch pressure plate and clutch disc.
Overall, a very attractive and solid Oval Window Beetle with interesting ownership history, matching numbers and a Volkswagen Heritage Certificate. A nicely styled example that retains plenty of its original 1950s character while benefiting from a few carefully chosen modifications.

Mechanical condition
The car starts easily with a little choke and benefits from a few minutes to warm up properly. The engine runs well with no unusual noises. On the road, the car feels stable and well-balanced, offering a surprisingly soft and comfortable ride despite its lowered suspension setup. The gearbox shifts smoothly through the gears.
The car has not been driven extensively over the past few years, and although the brakes work, they would ideally benefit from an adjustment. A new clutch was fitted just last week and will need some driving to bed in properly.
The car has also recently been serviced with fresh engine oil. It is inspection-exempt and ready for its next owner to enjoy.
A particularly nice feature is the set of genuine Lemmerz Porsche 356 wheels, fitted with good older tyres. -
Interior condition
Interior is clean and tidy overall. The front seats have blue seat covers fitted, with the original seats underneath in good condition but with mismatched upholstery, hence the covers. The rear seat is also in good condition, with a few minor marks and a small hole along the rear edge.
The headliner is good, with some age-related marks, and the rear interior panels are well preserved. The driver's door card has a small repair patch, while the passenger side is in good condition. Beneath the rear seat, the area around the battery is dry and solid.
The carpets show some wear, particularly in the driver's footwell, while the remaining areas are in good condition. The dashboard and original gauges are clean, tidy and fully functional. -
Exterior condition
A good-looking car overall, with straight bodywork, no notable dents or damage, and no significant rust issues. The underbody is particularly solid and well preserved.
The car was repainted approximately 15–20 years ago and still presents well, although there are a few cosmetic imperfections, including small paint chips and very fine microblistering around the rear wings. Nothing particularly noticeable unless inspected closely. The original Stratos Silver paintwork is still visible in the door shuts, which were not repainted.
The chrome work is bright and shiny throughout, adding to the car's attractive overall appearance. -
General condition
A classic Oval Beetle with attitude! Combining timeless VW charm with tasteful custom styling and a great stance, this well-cared-for example is the perfect choice for an enthusiast looking for something a little different.

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
