Renault 5 TXE 1.7 — 1989

• Mechanical condition

  The car starts immediately and the engine runs well. It drives nicely with its 5-speed manual gearbox and solid brakes. As mentioned, the exhaust is blowing, and the windscreen has a crack in the left corner. It comes with three older wheels fitted with winter tyres, while all four alloy wheels are in good condition with only a few marks and decent older tyres. The car is inspected and ready to drive home.

• Interior condition

  Interior is original and well kept. The front seats are clean, with a repair on the driver’s bolster, while the rear seats are also clean and tidy. Door cards, carpet, and headlining are all in good condition, and the rear parcel shelf is complete with no added speakers or holes. The dashboard is in working order, and both the electric windows and radio function properly.

• Exterior condition

  For a Renault 5 from the 1990s, this is a ok example—most others have long since rusted away. It isn’t perfect and does have flaws, but with a few easy fixes it could present much better. There is rust around the lower inner door edges, along the front inner wing edges near the bumper, and a few other blisters in places, with signs of earlier repairs around the front wheel arches. The underbody looks sound, showing mainly surface rust on components. The paintwork has touch-ups in places, the bonnet is dull and would benefit from a repaint, and there are scratches around the bootlid and bumpers. The driver’s side is also missing an end section of the side trim. Please check the pictures for the highlighted issues.

• General condition

  This will be a fun and now rare summer car for someone. The cosmetic fixes can be done gradually over time, or with some winter garage work the car could be greatly improved with body repairs and a repaint.

• At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
• During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.

Important to know before placing your bids!

• Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
• When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
• If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
• If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
• Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
• For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
