Nissan Skyline GTS-T R33 — 1997

Nissan Skyline R33 GTS-t (Series 2), an original Japanese import and standard right-hand drive (RHD) car. It has a rebuilt engine with a new remap and MAXX ECU, bench tested at 688 wheel horsepower (800HP).

Description

This car was imported from Japan in 2008 and registered in Sweden on 2008-03-11. There isn't much history on when the car was originally tuned and rebuilt, but it was probably around 2016. The current owners bought it locally from the previous owner in Kinna, who had done a lot of the recent work listed below. This car is not for the faint-hearted; it’s road legal but on the edge of extreme, even by track standards. It has been styled with a body kit and repainted, best described as in OK condition but far from original.

Mapped at Hjalte Performance on 30/11-2023 and hasn't been driven much since. During the engine rebuild, all wear parts were replaced, including the crankshaft, timing belt kit, and water pump.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

    It has a startup process that takes a few minutes when cold starting. The clutch takes a while to learn the exact engagement point, and it has a slightly lower gear ratio in first gear due to the tune. While driving, it feels very stable with good road handling, but be prepared: when you hit 4000+ rpm, life becomes a blur fast. The MAXX ECU can be adjusted with an Android device, although this feature has not been tested. The car also features nice alloy wheels with good tires.

  • Interior condition:

    Interior is largely standard, especially around the dashboard, apart from an added boost gauge and air-fuel gauge. It also features an extra fitted bucket seat with some wear and a slightly broken bolster on the passenger seat, while the rear seats remain standard. The electric windows work, but the electric mirrors do not. Overall, the interior is fine but shows a little wear.

  • Exterior condition:

    Bodywork is fitted with a bolt-on body kit, including modifications to the rear quarters/wings, rear spoiler, side skirts, and front bumper. There are some small cracks, damages, and alignment issues in places. The paintwork is generally okay but has some flaws upon closer inspection, including a scratch on the passenger door. It appears the car was originally white. The underbody looks clean with no rust issues.

  • General condition:

    Skyline is probably the most sought-after JDM car worldwide and a poster car for many younger petrolheads. A lot of time and money has been spent on this car. I highly recommend viewing it in person. It can be driven fine as is, and the cosmetic parts can be fixed over time if desired.
