Mercedes-Benz 190 2.0 W201 — 1987

• Mechanical condition

  Starts easily and runs well in engine and drivetrain. During a test drive at a slow pace in a residential area, steering, clutch, gear shifting, and brakes etc. worked well. One gasoline hose to the carburetor had come loose, resulting in a leak, but it could be screwed back on without any problems. Like all cars that have been driven little lately, an inspection should be performed. Not checked on a lift but what could be seen from underneath looked good. There were a few indications of rust at the jack supports and the left rear wheelhouse has an older repair.

• Interior condition

  Nice interior with good resilience in chairs and rear seat, some wear on the driver's seat at the entry point. Door sides, panels, textile carpets, and ceiling lining in good condition. Also, the steering wheel, controls, dashboard, and meters are fine. Cracks on the top of the dashboard. All electronics appear to work except for the clock. Uncertain why. The electric function of the sunroof works well. Blaupunkt stereo with radio and tape player as well as Clarion speakers functioned. Fine original Mercedes molded protective mats.

• Exterior condition

  It appears to be the original paint which is in good condition. There were minor stone chips and door dings. Also, a parking damage on the right rear (tailgate - rear body). Glass and chrome in good condition. Plastic parts somewhat faded and a wiper without a blade. Aluminum rims and winter tires (Gislaved Soft Frost) in good condition but with rusty wheel bolts. Engine and trunk compartments in good condition, sound insulation on the hood has come loose.

• General condition

  There are car models that, until recently, were a common sight on the roads but are now rapidly thinning out. Mercedes' compact model W201 is already, in a flash, 40 years old. Here is a well-maintained standard car that offers a nice combination of functionality and simplicity, but can boast its Mercedes star on the front. It is now well-qualified to continue as a classic and enthusiast car.

Important to know before placing your bids!

• Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
• When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
• If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
• If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
• Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
• For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
