Description
This car was manufactured in 1992 in Nystad, Finland and sold new in sunny California in the summer of 1992. It has had the same owner (a Swedish relative) until 2020, when this man would stop driving due to age reasons. The workshop where the car was always serviced (Viking-Motors in Marina Del Ray) tipped another Swedish customer about the car and it was then sold to him for export to his home country.
During the spring of 2021, the car was serviced and registered in Sweden and is now ready to drive. It runs fine in the engine and gearbox and the convertible top works fine.
In the United States, it has always been in the garage at night and since the climate is favorable, the car has never had any rust attacks. However, it is slightly sun-bleached on the inside, see photos, but nothing that bothers.
Convertible top and paint work are original and in normal condition. No damage to the body but a little scratches on the bumpers, front and rear. The convertible top has two small holes, as shown in the pictures. In these places there are always holes, as the fabric gets a sharp fold here when it is folded down. In California, these cars are mostly driven by lowered roofs, especially if you have your own garage.

It's a pleasure to drive. The engine has good traction and a nice turbo effect. At the time, Saab's best engine. The car may require a more straightforward technical review; there is a sound that can be heard when the steering wheel is fully extended.

Interior condition
Complete and fine. A little sun-bleached on the dashboard and seats but nothing broken. More pictures to come.

Exterior condition
Normal condition, some small scratches and stone chips are present but no damage and absolutely no rust. Scratches on bumpers can be found. Two small holes in the hood were taped. More pictures to come.

General condition
A stylish and pleasant hobby car that provides a great deal of driving enjoyment. Good working order with a few minor blemishes, particularly on the bumpers. If desired, it's simple to fix.

Saab 900 cabriolet i sin ursprungliga, klassiska form byggdes från 1986 till 1993. Modellen blev en storsäljare i USA då den var fyr-sitsig, bekväm, lättkörd och samtidigt sportig med 16-ventilers fulltrycks-turbomotor och fin form.
80% av produktionen såldes till Kalifornien och bilen blev i slutet av 1980-talet en innebil i Hollywood och Beverly Hills med omnejd. Här finns fortfarande flest bilar bevarade. 1992 års modell, som denna bil, är sista och bästa utförandet och känns igen på att bak-spoilerns sidor (i gummi) följer hela kupe´-kanten, ända fram till backspeglarna. Tidigare började denna kant längre bak.
