Description

Saab's finest and most sporty model in the 1980s. It's a good car to restore. The car has been in Borås and Trollhättan since 2008, and has been off the road due to rust repair (see pictures). The passenger side inner wings and battery shelf have rust damage. There is some rust damage around the edges and under the driver's door, but the car is otherwise in good condition.
Good chassis with some replacement body panels included in the purchase. The bonnet has been replaced with a good and solid replacement.
This Saab model is the most popular. It's a worthwhile project to finish a complete, untouched car in original condition with few owners and average mileage.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

The car was driven until 2008 and then off the road. Now up and running but the radiator has now been removed to be able to fix the rust damage around the battery shelf.

  • Interior condition:

The décor is complete and attractive, with new original upholstery. The head liner fabric is loose, as it is on every old Saab 900.

  • Exterior condition:

The paint is in an on condition, but there is rust on the wing edges and under the front window (see pictures).
The hood was replaced with a better one, but it was the wrong color. If you renovate the car, you'll need a full respray to make it look nice.

  • General condition:

Unrenovated and completely driveable car with nice décor and all details intact. It's a good project car for body work and paint.
