Description
This Mercedes was bought in 1955 by a gentleman in the Helsingborg area. He was very careful about his car and always garaged the car. It was used until 1966 when he died and his daughter inherited the car. She used it sparingly and the car was mostly in the garage.
All the time it was serviced at the BP gas station in Allerum where it was kept in top condition.
The daughter thought that the car was used too little and that the rent for the warm garage was an unnecessary cost so she offered the current owner and also owner of the BP gas station to buy it in 2002. The mileage was then was just over 85,000 km.

Interior condition
Original leather interior incredibly fine and untouched condition. Has anyone been in the car? The only wear you see is on the armrest at the driver's door. Nice original accessories with decorative pillows that match the upholstery.

Exterior condition
Incredibly fine original paint and chrome work, it’s close to mint condition. There are some small dents on the roof at the C-pillar and a little one the passenger door. There is also a crack in the windshield on the driver's side.

More original than this can’t be found, and it’s ready-to-drive home.

W120 180 (1953-62)
Typ 180, som introducerades i juli 1953, var Mercedes-Benz första nykonstruerade volymmodell efter andra världskriget. Med sin självbärande pontonkaross bröt den helt med föregångarna. Sidventilsmotorn följde dock med från 170 S. Även bakaxeln var av samma typ som 170 S. I februari 1954 tillkom dieselversionen 180 D, med motor från 170 DS och ännu blygsammare prestanda. I september 1955 infördes den enkelledade pendelaxeln från 190 SL, vilket gav bättre väghållning.
I juli 1957 kommer 180a, med nedtrimmad toppventilsmotor från W121.
I juli 1959 avlöser 180b/180 Db, med ny kylarmaskering och nya stötfångare.
Sista utvecklingen, 180c/180 Dc, introducerades i juli 1961. Bensinaren hade högre motoreffekt genom modifierad ventilmekanism, dieseln hade nu fått tvålitersmotorn från W110.
När produktionen upphörde i oktober 1962 hade man byggt 271 217 st W120.
