Description

This Puch Cross MC50 comes from the private collection of a dedicated Puch enthusiast, whose carefully curated bikes are now being offered at auction. The owner has been collecting and restoring Puch mopeds for over 20 years, carrying out work both personally and in collaboration with other well-known Puch specialists. His focus has always been on preserving originality, using the correct factory details and sourcing NOS (new old stock) parts whenever possible.

When asked about the typical cost of a full, top-to-bottom renovation, the owner estimates 30,000–40,000 SEK — not including the purchase price of the moped itself, and excluding the rarer Cross models, which generally cost more to restore due to their harder-to-find parts.

This particular example was renovated 10 years ago, has been ridden only 3 kilometers, and has since been stored in a heated showroom. It features matching engine and frame numbers (6204079) and carries the Swedish model designation VoV 1458.

  • Mechanical condition:

Equipped with a three-speed foot-operated gearbox with linkage arms (the classic “cric-crac” transmission), this Puch Cross features a 1 hp engine with kickstart, full hub brakes, telescopic front fork, and a long seat for comfortable riding. It retains all its period details, including chromed fenders painted yellow on the inside, a gray plastic chain guard, and a fuel tank secured with brown leather straps. Recently reviewed and serviced, it is now fully ready to ride, with a smooth, great-sounding engine.

  • Interior condition:

Nice original seat in undamaged condition.

  • Exterior condition:

The bike is in absolutely tip-top condition, with no damage, dents, or rust. The paintwork gleams, and all the chrome details shine beautifully. It even comes complete with its original hand pump.

  • General condition:

It’s rare to see one of these come up for sale — especially in such outstanding condition. An ideal choice for a collector or anyone looking for something cool, unique, and ready to ride.
