Description

The current owner adores old English cars and owns a number of them, as do his skilled workshop staff. This car was added to his collection in 2013, and according to the previous owner, the car was specially ordered as a right-hand drive car by a Swedish company director. This appears to be correct because the car has the correct KPH odometer and Swedes drove on the right side back then. The car was most likely removed from the Swedish register and reintroduced in 1967. The car has always been in good condition, and it only required a brake overhaul and a review before passing its final inspection/MOT. The only defect is the rear bumper fitting; it should be able to access the rear folding hatch for the spare tyre. Over the years and a trip to the UK, the correct parts have been sourced to restore it to its original condition. "parts included but not installed; see photos"

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

The car started easily and runs and drives well, with good brakes and easy gearshifts; it is regularly driven in the summer and is always reviewed and worn parts replaced by the owner's skilled team. Inspection/MOT is free for life.

  • Interior condition:

The interior is clean and complete, with a nice old feel and a patina wooden dashboard. The seats and door cards were reupholstered at some point but still look good. Original headliner in good condition with factory sliding sunroof. Good carpets, not original but clean. A few extra gauges and knobs were added, as well as one for the pop out indicators.

  • Exterior condition:

The bodywork is generally nice and solid, and the car was probably partially repainted many years ago. It has a few minor dents and age-related marks, but that adds to its allure. Blisters on the front right top wing, but a good replacement wing is included. The rear bumper, as mentioned, is incorrect, but replacement parts are included to complete the conversion. Good chrome and trim details.

  • General condition:

It's ideal for someone looking for a charming and usable jaguars; nothing urgent needs to be fixed; simply enjoy it as is or renovate to be more original; there are plenty of options here.
