Between 1964 and 1968, the Model 4.2 with a straight six was produced. The three windshield wipers on this 4.2 liter variant are an unusual feature due to the wide and low window screen. There are three owners in Sweden. The present owner has had the car for the past 23 years. The meter was zeroed and reset during the renovation.
This car was initially right-hand drive but has been converted to left-hand drive.

Mechanical condition
Drives nicely in both the engine and the transmission. Rear axle inspected, engine and gearbox serviced, and many new parts installed, such as brakes, exhaust system, hoses and belts, and so on.

Interior condition
Except for the upholstery around the glove box, the side of the instrument panel, and the center armrest, which is worn (see photos), the upholstery is in outstanding condition. The glove compartment door is missing.

Exterior condition
Very nice paintwork. Broken turn signal glass and a scratch in the paint on the right front, as shown in the picture.

Facts about the model
Efter framgångarna på tävlingsbanorna och speciellt Le Mans 24-timmars race med Jaguar D-type på 50-talets mitt, ville Jaguar ha en efterträdare varpå Malcolm Sayer ritade en bil med aerodynamiska linjer. Jaguar E-type tillverkades från 1961 till 1975. Den fanns med 3,8 och 4,2 liters motorer. Från 1971 fanns det en 5,3 liters V12 som tillval. De fanns som tvåsitsiga Drop Head Cab, Coupé men även som en "2+2" en Coupé med ett mindre baksäte .
E-typen kom att bli en enorm succé då den erbjöd utseende och fantastiska prestanda till ett pris som passade de flesta. Filmstjärnor, popmusiker, konstnärer – alla körde de Jaguar E-type. Denna bil är en serie 1, med den ursprungliga formen och 6-cyl motor på 265 Hkr. Idag den mest eftertraktade E-type modellen.

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
