Description
When the Norrmalmtorg drama with Clark Olofsson and Janne Olsson took place in 1973, Kenth was on duty, and when the robbers demanded a quick getaway car, BMW or Mustang to release the hostages, Kenth showed up with his almost new Mustang, which was never used.
After the robbery, he used it as his family car but it had become to famous and it was sold to Mats Fahlgren in Umeå. Mats drove the car until 1987 when he had decided to rebuild the car for drag racing (he then had no idea about the history). The cars of interior was removed, wheelhouses at the back were widened and rebuilt at the front. A roll bar and some reinforcements had been fitted before a reporter came to do a report on the car and the history was discovered for Mats. Then he decided to interrupt the construction and parked the car with parts in a dry barn.
It remained there until 2019, when the current owner, Trensum's Fredrik Johansson, purchased it with the intention of rebuilding it entirely from scratch. In the meantime, he has amassed a large number of parts, as well as a donor car, which is included in this sale. Due to a shortage of time for Fredrik, who is self-employed, he decides to sell this interesting project to someone who is interested in taking on.
When Fredrik purchased the car, he contacted Clark Olofsson for some history and information, and he was also promised a ride in the Mustang. This promise now accompanies the new owner, who will be notified when the car is ready.
If you Google "Mustang Norrmalmstorg," you'll find a wealth of information.
The donor vehicle is a 1971 model with the registration number BBE806. The remaining nine images depict the automobile and its accessories.
Technical data
Condition
-
Mechanical condition
Renovation project, engine 302 and gearbox C4 are missing, but many new and used parts are included.
-
Interior condition
The original seats and door card are in fair shape, with the exception of one loose seam in the driver's seat and a minor fault on the passenger seat. A unique original center console is also included. Because the car has a roll bar and wider wheel arches, it must be replaced with parts from the supplied donor car.
-

The body needs to be painted after assembly, there is surface rust on the roof and rear, but nothing is rusted through. Fine wings and parts and body work from the donor car can be helpful with restoration.
-

A renovation project that, when finished, will be a remarkable and sought-after exhibition car with a fully unique history.
