Description
Georg took on the car and carried out an extensive mechanical restoration in which the engine, gearbox and rear axle were rebuilt. In more recent years, the car has continued to receive care. The ignition system has been restored, the carburetor has been gone through, and the brake system has also been restored. Four new shock absorbers have been fitted, as well as new bushings and rear leaf springs. Service according to the intended Plymouth schedule has also been performed.
The car has retained much of its original character. The upholstery is untouched, the car has, as far as can be seen, never had any rust repairs, and the gauges work. It is still equipped with the period-typical 6-volt system and positive ground. The windshield wipers, fan system, defroster and heating system also work.
More recently, the car has received new tires and wheels, while the original wheels and hubcaps are included for anyone wishing to restore the original appearance.
The current owner purchased the car in 2024. The following year it was sold on to Funny Garage, but the separation was short-lived, and a few months later the current owner bought the car back.
With its American background, untouched interior and mechanical overhaul, this is a Plymouth that combines preserved original character with a number of important restorations.

Facts about the model
The 1946 model year is therefore particularly interesting from a historical perspective. It represents the transition from wartime automobile production back to the American auto industry's great period of expansion during the late 1940s.
For the P15 Special Deluxe four-door sedan, a list price of around 1,239 dollars is stated, along with a production of just over 514,000 examples for the P15 Special Deluxe four-door sedan over the model period, according to the P15 production records.
In summary, the 1946 Plymouth P15 Special Deluxe is a typical American postwar automobile — large, comfortable, and robust, with classic six-cylinder flathead technology, chrome, and distinctive 1940s styling. For a Swedish classic car enthusiast, it is also of particular interest as it represents the American auto industry's return after the war.
