"The car has seen limited use over the past year, and during the test drive, it performed better once it had warmed up properly. The engine starts easily and runs smoothly, while the drive feels stable with effortless gearshifts and responsive brakes. There is a minor oil leak originating from the valve cover, which may require a new gasket or simply tightening to rectify."

Description

This car was originally sold and delivered in Sweden by the Volvo dealer Bildeve in Angelholm. It primarily resided in the Helsingborg area. In 1975, it received a fresh coat of its original color. Its remarkable condition today owes much to its extended display period in the renowned "BiG Bengts Collection" museum. Subsequently, it has clearly been in the hands of careful owners. While on display in our depot, it has garnered numerous compliments and remarks due to its authentic, rust-free, and well-preserved appearance, complete with its iconic, lustrous chrome detailing.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition

The car runs well, particularly once it warms up. There's a minor oil leak, possibly from the valve cover gasket, which may need replacement. A minor carburetor tune-up and routine service are advised due to limited recent use. It has good wheels and white wall tires, with recent full brake renovation. Importantly, it's exempt from lifetime inspections.

  • Interior condition

The entire interior remains completely original and undamaged, providing a delightful 1950s ambiance. It's a wonderful space to relax and appreciate the charming period details. The seats, door cards, headliner, mats, dashboard, and instrumentation are all in great condition. Additionally, it boasts an original heater and radio, which were optional features during that era.

  • Exterior condition

The entire bodywork is straight, with nice panel gabs and no corrosion, and the same can be said for the underbody (see photos). Only a minor scratch and touch-up under the right rear corner of the bumper. The paintwork is in excellent shape, with no flaws and a bright gloss. The chromework is completely gleaming and free of flaws.

  • General condition

While driving this car around the village, it's impossible not to notice the enthusiastic reactions – thumbs up from passersby and excited school kids shouting "Cool Car". You're not just purchasing a standout car, but also one that's incredibly easy to maintain for the future, and it comes with a lifetime inspection exemption.
