Owner's comment

The exterior is rust-free, with some surface rust underneath due to long-term storage. Inspected UA (without remarks) 50 miles ago. Ventilated front seats. Beige interior renovated in 2023. AS3 stereo, rear seat heating, new textile carpets, rain sensor, new windshield in 2023, new 225/45x17" tires on nearly flawless original Aero rims, rear parking sensors, newly serviced AC in 2023, freshly serviced with oil, filters, and spark plugs, new vacuum hoses and check valves, new brakes (about 1000 km ago), new fog lights, new headlights, service book. The car runs well, with no unusual noises or issues with either the engine or transmission. I've been working with Saab 9-5 for 15 years, and this one is unique in both condition and equipment; the only thing missing is a sunroof.

Facts about the model

The all-new 9-5 replaced the old Saab 9000 as Saab's largest car. The Saab 9-5 retains the classic Saab design elements but also includes a historically unusual wagon model for Saab. Saab had not produced a wagon since 1978 when production of the Saab 95 ceased. Einar J. Hareide was the head of design development.

The interior was considered very modern at the time of its release, featuring innovations like the "Night Panel," which allowed the driver to dim all instrument lights except the speedometer for nighttime driving. Similar to the 9-3, it had the ignition key between the front seats. Compared to the 9-3, the 9-5 offered better space and ride comfort, even though the exterior dimensions didn't differ significantly.

The Saab 9-5, especially its wagon version, achieved significant success in Sweden and consistently ranked high in sales statistics for many years. Additionally, it was frequently rated as the safest car in Sweden by Folksam.
