A Porsche classic in the world of tractors. This specimen has been in southern Sweden, relatively lightly used, and has always been stored indoors. Fifteen years ago, the previous owner decided to renovate the tractor. It was a very meticulous restoration, taking five years, and the result was the best. Many new parts and tires, among other things. Beautiful paint. A technical review of all wear parts. The tractor starts easily and runs smoothly. It sounds wonderful with an air-cooled diesel engine. This is an AP 22, the predecessor to the top-selling Standard model, which is the second smallest and very handy and adequately powerful model. A perfect collector's item that you can also have a lot of fun with.

Facts about the model
In the pursuit of modernizing Germany, Adolf Hitler tasked Ferdinand Porsche with the mission of not only building a people's car but also a tractor. Porsche had already developed prototypes for a "people's tractor" in 1934, following the same concept as the later "Volkswagen" (the Beetle). Initially, the tractor had an air-cooled gasoline engine but later came with diesel engines. In 1936, Hitler's administration ordered a proposal from Dr. Engineer Porsche's technical bureau for a people's tractor that would be simple, reliable, and robust. This was part of a program that aimed for better roads, a people's car (the Beetle), and a people's tractor. In 1937, Porsche showcased their design (and obtained a patent) with an air-cooled diesel engine and a special clutch that made the tractor easy to operate. However, production never started before the war.
After the war, there was a great demand for tractors. In 1948, the company Allgaier began manufacturing tractors, and after some time, they were allowed to use Porsche's patents for the engine and clutch, among other things. The first model, AP17, began production in 1950. Over time, Porsche's company became increasingly involved in production, and in 1953/54, they changed their name to Porsche Diesel Motorenbau GmbH. The Junior was the base model, and later, two-cylinder (AP22 and Standard), three-cylinder (Super), and four-cylinder (Master) air-cooled diesel engines were introduced in larger models. Today, the Junior is the most popular, thanks to its elegant design and light weight of only 950 kg. It travels at a speed of around 20-25 km per hour, which is why many use it for leisurely rides and easily transport it on a trailer when they attend events and gatherings.
In the early 1960s, the market for small tractors became saturated, and Porsche Diesel was sold to Renault Tractors in 1963, marking the end of production in Germany. However, several technical solutions lived on.
Even today, all parts for Porsche tractors are still available, and various Porsche Diesel clubs and regular Porsche clubs organize meetings and events throughout the year.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
