The Manufacturer Ohlsson acquired this car on 2 March 1970 from Philipsson Norr (Automobilpalatset). When he died in 1988, his son and wife took over ownership. It has now travelled 129,700 km. Always garaged, tenderly cared for and well serviced.
In 2016, it received a professional review of the body and a new respray. Some dull parts were also re-chromed and the rubber seals etc. were replaced, see pictures. Otherwise in a well-cared-for original condition.

Everything works and feels like a well cared for low mileage car should. Since the car has not been driven much in recent years, a review and service are recommended. The sunroof wobbles a bit when closing and needs some manual help.

Facts about the model
Mercedes har genom tiderna gjort många fina Coupévagnar, så även när modell W111 tillverkades som årsmodeller 1960-1971. Redan 1961 kom en Coupémodell, design Paul Bracq, som till skillnad från sedanmodellerna inte hade fenor, utan neddragna bakskärmar. Utvecklingen följde sedan övriga modeller genom 250 SE och 280 SE.
I slutet av produktionen kom en uppdaterad version , Modell 280 SE Coupé 3,5. Den hade en ny potent motor om 3499cc, V8 och 200hk. Toppfarten var drygt 200 km/h. Utseendemässigt skilde de sig från tidigare modeller med en lägre och bredare grill, kallad Flachkühler. Tillverkningen skedde mellan november 1969-juli 1971 och 3,270 enheter producerades.

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. - During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
