"This car feels very solid to drive. Free from rattles and noise. With a little work on the exterior, this will make a very nice summer car for visiting the country's many car events."

Description

A car with an interior in untouched original condition. Low mileage on the odometer which we believe is accurate as the car has been de-registered for periods over many years. There are some minor blemishes and touch-ups on the body. The front fenders have been repainted where a slight color difference can be noticed.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

The engine runs incredibly smoothly and nicely. Everything else regarding the technical aspects functions flawlessly. A light startup service including oil and filter is appropriate, as well as a minor inspection of the brakes. This is because the car has been stationary for about 7 years.

  • Interior condition:

The upholstery of the chairs is largely in like-new condition and has most likely been fitted with slipcovers. Panels, headliners, and carpets are without any remarks.

  • Exterior condition:

Repainted front fenders (slight difference in shade). Touch-up done on the left rear fender and tailgate. Small dent on right rear fender.

  • General condition:

An original car that is internally in very fine condition. Externally, there is potential for improvement in the form of minor paint enhancements. Despite this, the overall impression is very good.

Owner's comment

Selling this fine low-mileage car as the fleet needs to be downsized.

Facts about the model

Saab originates from the engineering collective of the aircraft manufacturer in Linköping, led by Sixten Sason in the 1940s. The prototype for the Saab 92 (92001, also known as "Ur-Saaben") was presented to the company management in Linköping on June 4, 1946, and serial production began on December 12, 1949. It had an output of 25 hp at 3,800 rpm.

The Saab 96 was produced between 1960 and 1980. Before the V4 engine, sourced from Ford, was introduced to the 96 in 1967, the cars were equipped with a three-cylinder two-stroke engine.
