"Road-ready Porsche in just the right condition. Has covered few miles in the last 20 years. Perfect for both car meets and everyday driving. Recently underwent major service. Approved by vehicle inspection until 2026-08-31."

Description

The car was sold new in Sweden and pre-registered on 1985-10-03. It was later officially registered in the vehicle registry on 1986-04-22. According to the registry, the car has had 11 owners, including dealerships. The first owner was Kalles Servicebutik HB in Landskrona. The ownership history between 1986 and 1998 is unknown but can likely be retrieved via the National Archives.

The odometer shows 76,300 kilometers. Based on preserved vehicle inspection records, it is believed the actual mileage is just over 100,000 kilometers. A closer look at the records reveals that in 1991 the car had driven 48,000 kilometers. However, the next record shows just over 10,000 kilometers, indicating that the odometer likely broke and was replaced. While there are no notes documenting the replacement, the preserved inspection records suggest no intent to hide the issue. (See images of selected records.)

In 1998, the car was purchased by a gentleman living in Mölle. Each summer, he drove the Porsche to his summer home just outside Sundsvall. In 2005, he sold the car to a friend in the area, who kept it until 2023, when he sold it due to age-related reasons. The current owner then purchased the car and invested in a major service, including a timing belt replacement (see receipt).

The car is in good original condition and has never been rebuilt or modified. Since 1998, it has always been stored in a heated garage and driven only during the summer, so no winter tires are included. The current owner is selling the car as it no longer accommodates the family’s needs, having upgraded to a larger American classic car.

The car comes with the original spare wheel, jack, owner's manual, and a comprehensive binder of inspection records and service notes. One set of keys is included.

Photos and information about the car's technical condition have been provided by the owner. BWA has not inspected the car in person.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

Equipped with a four-cylinder 2.5-liter engine with a specified power of 163 horsepower. Additionally, a five-speed manual transmission. Starts without issues and runs smoothly. Major service was performed in 2023 including replacement of timing belt, balance shaft belt, water pump, as well as oils, coolant, spark plugs, and filters. Inspected on 2024-08-26 with no remarks.

  • Interior condition:

Excellent condition. All instruments are functional. No cracks in the panel. There is a minor tear on the edge of the driver's seat cushion that needs repair. The leather steering wheel shows wear, see picture. Equipped with an older functioning Panasonic CD player.

  • Exterior condition:

The owner assesses that the paintwork is primarily original. He has not found any signs that the car has been repainted. There are typical stone chips on the front. There are a few minor marks from door dings on each side of the car, as well as some small clear coat peeling right on the edges of the door handles. There is also a minor dent near the right rear taillight. The hood has a dent or slight crease near the headlight on the right side, where something was dropped on it. There is also wear on the paint near the rear wheels from stone chips. In other words, normal wear for its age and mileage. See the pictures. New Yokohama tires were fitted in 2023 and have traveled about 100 kilometers.

  • General condition:

Good original condition with some wear commensurate with the car's age and mileage. A good entry-level vehicle for those who like classic Porsche cars.
