Description
The car was purchased by the current owner in 2018 as a partially started rally project. He describes the work done as follows:
The rally car is a replica and not competition-registered, and it has a drivetrain adapted for road use. It has had rust repairs throughout the floor and sills, but the rear wings have not been removed. Externally, the paintwork leaves something to be desired, but it still gives a good first impression. The engine bay and interior are properly painted, and the doors, which were refurbished last summer, are completely free from rust.
A roll cage has been installed by a professional company, and new rally seats are fitted, though they are probably not competition-approved and have standard seat belts. The engine is fully rebuilt and partially replaced according to the following specification:
Standard B, dynoed at 86 hp, with a new 2.5-inch exhaust system. It has a 1700 cc bottom end with a newly refurbished Sonett gearbox (9:34 ratio), NH 44 7.3 road cam, new diaphragm clutch, strengthened valve springs, Weber 36/38 progressive carburettor, and an electronic ignition system. Period-correct trip meter, not connected.
Just before it was taken off the road, a leak was discovered during refuelling, probably a gasket or hose that has deteriorated down to the tank.

Mechanical condition
The car runs well and has a tuned Standard B engine (see description). The trip meter on the dashboard is not connected. No keys are included, and the car is started via the master switch and a push button. There is a leak in the filler pipe to the fuel tank.

Interior condition
Rally interior in decent condition with intact, nice Sparco seats. Standard seat belts are fitted. Several additional instruments are installed.

Exterior condition
A simpler paint job with runs. The doors have been refurbished and have a slightly different shade.
Filler is present at the rear edges of the front wings. Oxidation and peeling paint on the wheels, as well as pitting in the chrome on the bumpers.
Four fully studded ice tyres on rims in good condition are included. -
General condition
A road-ready Saab that attracts well-deserved attention at meets and shows.

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
