"A highly desirable collector’s car in excellent condition."

Description

Aston Martin DB9, imported to Sweden in 2005 by Calisma. The current owner purchased it in 2010 and has only used it during the summer months. Servicing has been carried out by the specialist Aston Hill on Lidingö. The car’s information system indicates that an annual service is due; however, it has covered very few kilometers over the past year, as the owner is no longer able to drive his collector cars as before. The odometer currently shows a low 67,570 km. Two sets of keys are included.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

Starts and runs well, both engine and gearbox functioning properly. During the test drive, speeds were limited to 70 km/h, and at that time no unusual noises or other issues were observed. The electronic control module was replaced five years ago after moisture damage, and the exhaust system has also been replaced previously. According to the owner, the battery was replaced a year ago.

  • Interior condition:

In the beautiful interior, only slight wear can be seen on the outer edges of the driver’s and passenger seat backrests. Otherwise, the interior is in good condition. The car is approved for one passenger.

  • Exterior condition:

The low mileage is reflected in the bodywork and paint, which are in good condition. The front license plate holder has a crack, and there are a few scratches on the front spoiler – see close-up photos.

  • General condition:

A desirable model that became something of an icon even during its production years. The fact that the current owner has only driven it during the summer months is evident in the car’s excellent condition. Having been serviced by the reputable company Aston Hill further supports that it is in sound mechanical condition.

Facts about the model

At the Frankfurt Motor Show in the autumn of 2003, the Aston Martin DB9 made its debut. The design was the work of Ian Callum—who, among other things, also designed the first-generation Volvo C70—and Henrik Fisker, who later went on to found his own car brand. The Aston Martin DB9 was largely constructed from aluminum and composite materials to keep the weight down. Its 5.9-liter V12 engine produced 456 hp, giving the DB9 a top speed of 299 km/h.

Production began in 2004, followed a year later by the convertible version, the Volante. The Aston Martin DB9 was highly praised, not least for its design. “How do you update a car that is generally regarded as one of the most beautiful in the world?” wrote Teknikens Värld in 2010, when it came time for the second design update. The DB9 also received a facelift in 2012, and after 12 years, production finally ended at Aston Martin’s Gaydon factory in July 2016. A total of around 16,500 units were produced.
