Description
This is a very early Fiat X1/9. It was built in 1972 and originally painted in the green launch color, Vert citron 358. It is said to have built 250 pre-series cars in 1972. Many were used for advertising assignments as well as test cars or press car. It is a stalled renovation object where it has only been disassembled but not renovated. We cannot guarantee that all parts are available but many parts can easily be found.
This car should be preserved for the future.
The Fiat X1/9 was produced in approximately 160,000 copies from 1972 to 1989. A few hundred cars were sold in the first year. Bertone, who designed the car, built ready-made bodywork that was sent to Fiat for final assembly. It is a mid-engine design with a Targa roll bar for protection in the event of an accident.
