Description
Kastell Cars, a Land Rover expert in Falkenberg, has serviced the car on a regular basis during his 20+ year ownership. The engine was changed at 300,000 kilometers with an updated 3.0 TDI engine that had driven 150,000 kilometers; the earlier engine was more expensive to rebuild, thus a good used engine was supplied. Since the replacement engine was installed in 2010, the car has only travelled roughly 10,000 kilometers. It's in reasonable condition, but like with most old Land Rovers, it's easily improved.

Mechanical condition
Good and strong engine that is easy to start and shifts gears well; the customer now only uses the car for short trips and towing. It has good tires and brakes properly, as well as good road positioning.

Interior condition
The interior is complete, with seat covers in the front and rear, and the cloth underneath is in good condition with the exception of the driver's seat, which is worn. The mats are worn and need to be replaced, but the interior is decent for a Land Rover with a good clean.

Exterior condition
After someone foolishly keyed the grey metallic paintwork, it was repainted by hand with a spray can; it also had traces of oxidation in the aluminum bodywork. It has some welding on the doors and some rust on the roof rack mount and around the lower steel frame of the rear windows (see pictures). You can improve the appearance using simple means.

General condition
A Defender in a usable condition, a good foundation to refine into an enthusiastic condition, or to use as is without concern for the external finish.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
