Description
The car spent its early years with Volvo Cars in Sweden, and the previous owner purchased it in the fall of 2003. He cared for it well and had all servicing performed at an authorized Volvo workshop. From 2014 onward, he drove the car very sparingly, covering only around 1,000 km per year. Sadly, he passed away this past summer and his mother inherited the car; as she has no use for it, it is now being offered at auction.

Mechanical condition
The car is well serviced and runs excellently. At its recent inspection, it received a remark regarding a control arm bushing, which has now been replaced.

Very fine interior with signs of normal use consistent with the mileage.

Exterior condition
The paint is good but has some flaws. The front spoiler has scratches, there are a couple of door dings, and there are small scratches on the fenders on both sides. There are a few white spots on the hood. Original wheels with some curb rash. Studless winter tires on Volvo wheels are included.

A cherished Youngtimer with fine performance, well worth keeping and caring for.

Facts about the model
The Volvo S60 was introduced in 2000 as a new, sportier sedan in Volvo's model lineup. The 2001 model year was one of the first on the market.
The S60 was technically based on the same platform as the Volvo S80 and offered a combination of comfort, safety, and more dynamic driving characteristics. Unlike the more angular Volvo 850 and S70, the S60 received a rounder body with softer lines and a distinctly sloping rear end.
The car had front-wheel drive and a transversely mounted five-cylinder engine. The model range included both gasoline and diesel engines, with several turbocharged versions. The S60 became appreciated for its comfortable long-distance driving characteristics and its solid construction.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
