Description
The car and was registered in Sweden on October 5, 1984. Gustaf Lycke took over the car on December 14, 2000, from Mr Svensson of Linköping, who had owned it since 1987. The odometer currently shows 149,770 km, and at the 2013 inspection, it recorded 134,880 km.
The car is equipped with a 2.3-litre four-cylinder fuel-injected engine producing 134 hp (DIN) and a 4-speed manual gearbox. It is also fitted with a sunroof.
The car runs well once warmed up to normal operating temperature and maintains good oil pressure. The engine bay is in decent condition but would benefit from a thorough cleaning. Notably, there is no rust around the battery area — a common issue on these models that’s thankfully not present here.
The car is white and has a flawless blue textile interior, which is rare, especially for the driver’s seat. The center console is fitted with additional zebrawood trim. The bodywork is considered to be in good condition, and the paintwork is nice.
The bumpers and other chrome details are in good condition. The car is fitted with non-original alloy wheels in decent condition.
3 keys are available for the car.

Condition
-
Mechanical condition
No issues to report — the car starts instantly, and the engine runs well once properly warmed up. It’s easy to drive, with a smooth-shifting manual gearbox, strong brakes, and a stable, solid feel on the road, typical of a well-maintained W123. As mentioned, the engine bay would benefit from a general cleaning. It’s fitted with non-standard alloy wheels and good tires. All instruments work correctly, and there are no warning lights. The car is inspected until 2026-04-30 and ready to go. A routine service is recommended.
-
Interior condition
interior is in exceptionally well-kept condition — the seats still look like new with no damage, and the door cards, carpets, and headliner are all in a great shape. The dashboard and instruments are clean and well preserved, with only a small wooden trim piece missing around the headlight switch, and the center wooden trim lifting slightly at the edge, which just needs to be re-glued. The electric passenger mirror works correctly, as does the sunroof.
-
Exterior condition
This is a remarkably solid car with straight bodywork and well-fitting panels. There is a small rust hole on the lower front edge of the right wing and a few minor surface rust blisters around the rear boot panels and the corner of the rear window edge (see pictures). The underbody is very clean and tidy, with no rust issues, and the inner wing edges are also clean and solid. The paintwork is neat and presentable with a few small marks and would look even better with a simple polish. The bumpers and other chrome details are in good condition.
-
General condition
This is an ideal car for anyone looking for a super reliable youngtimer that has been very well cared for. These models have become increasingly popular among younger enthusiasts thanks to their classic style, solid build quality, and outstanding reliability both to drive and to own.
