Description
The car has only driven 130,000 km (the odometer has rolled over once) and has never been in an accident. It received a professional repaint about 20 years ago and still looks just as good. It is currently at Fahlke’s VW workshop in Åmål (tel. 0761022063), where it is displayed during the auction period. At Fahlke’s, the bumpers and windshield have been replaced, and the car has undergone a technical inspection to ensure it’s in top condition for sale.

Mechanical condition
The car is a joy to drive. It starts immediately, and the engine responds effortlessly to throttle input (as lively as a 1600-engine). No vibrations or imbalance. Good brakes. Precise steering without any play. Everything works flawlessly, which commands respect and makes you appreciate how excellent these cars were when they were new—especially considering how well it drives after so many years.

Interior condition
Interior is intact and in great condition. Door panels, seats, and headliner are all original. The dashboard and steering wheel are in fine condition as well (this was the last year with a white steering wheel and white buttons). The original seat upholstery is in good condition, consistent with the mileage. The driver’s seat shows the usual wear on the seatback from getting in and out of the car (see photo). The floor mats were replaced a long time ago (see photos).

Exterior condition
The body is intact and in great condition, showing signs of light use, well-maintained, and undamaged. Excellent original condition in all details. No damage, but some scratches on the door sills near the entry and a 3 cm scratch/crack in the middle of the passenger door, see photo.

The perfect car for someone looking for a beautiful Beetle that can be used as a summer car next season, hassle-free. Just polish it up during the winter and enjoy it next season.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
