Volkswagen T2 Pick-up "Early bay" 1500 — 1969

One of Sweden's best T2 pickups, in original design. It's only been driven 73,000 kilometers and has been professionally renovated in a workshop ten years ago, and it's still in great shape.

Description

The current owner purchased the car from a VW collector ten years ago. The car was in good original condition at the time, but it had some marks and scratches, as well as some thin paint in places. The car, on the other hand, had no rust damage and had been driven only a short distance. After a season, the car was given to a VW workshop, which dismantled it and professionally repainted it in its original color. At the same time, all moldings, lamps, headliner, and other fixtures were replaced. Following that, the car was driven to car meetings, and Teknikens Värld published a large report on the car in the spring of 2015.
For the first 25 years, the car traveled in a dry climate of Skåne, Simrishamn, and other locations. That could be one of the reasons it did so well. Westfalia's slightly wider flatbed with drop down side and towbar is very pleasant to drive and extremely practical. Opportunity for those looking for a really nice pick-up that is also a lot of fun to drive.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

It starts easily and runs smoothly. It comes with a fresh inspection/MOT. Long gear positions that require some practice, as is always the case with these cars, but gear changes are smooth.

  • Interior condition:

Nice original decor that hasn't been tampered with. A slight color difference in beige on the upholstery on the right and left sides. There are no damages. Very nice dashboard.

  • Exterior condition:

The body and paintwork are both excellent. There are no comments. The only thing you can point out are some paint blisters on the left side flap, on the lumbar frame, and by the front hinge (see picture). The Gigalube decal on the doors  is taped on and easily removed and there is no damage below.

  • General condition:

Without a doubt, this is a very nice car. One of the most impressive we've seen.
