"The first luxurious post-war MB in a uniquely fine and untouched condition. Good in every detail. Only needs reconditioning, serving and renovating of the driver’s seat."

Description

The car was owned by Chief Prosecutor Mårten Stiernström in Gothenburg but was mostly driven by his wife Birgit Stiernström. His son Lars Stiernström inherited the car from his parents. It has thus been in the possession of the same family all along until now.
The car was used by the family in the 1950s and 1960s, until the family bought a new car and this was put away in the garage under the house. It was serviced and driven lightly during the summers in the 1970s. In the 1980s the car was garaged until 2006 when it was serviced and driven for fun summer trips until 2014 when it was left standing again in the garage, unused until now.
We've had an auto repair shop pick up the car and the workshop, Auto-Center Väst in Bohus, is now working on a technical review and start-up, so it can starts and runs again. The car has unusually nice in bodywork and interior design. Paint and upholstery are original, see pictures. Technically, the owners state that there may be "matching numbers" on the engine and gearbox. We have not been able to check this. With the sale comes an extra engine (more pictures are coming).

Starts and runs well. Engine and gearbox work fine and the Brakes are uneven. Need a service and new battery as it has not been driven for six year

  • Interior condition:

Well-kept original condition. The upholstery on the drivers seat should be repaired, as there are holes in the fabric, see photos

  • Exterior condition:

Minor damage and scratches are present but nothing serious and only minor surface rust. Poorly repaired parking damage can be seen on the left rear fender. Despite this unusually whole and nice car

  • General condition:

Paint, interior and all details are original. It has always been stored indoors in a warm garage.

Facts about the model
