Description
This car was sold new in Arvika in 1957 and has been located just outside Grums ever since. The current owner bought the car when the previous owner passed away in 1986. The car moved only 300 meters from its original location. The owner is now selling the car after 36 years, as their children are not interested in continuing the stewardship.
There have been 3 owners since new, although several registrations within the same family have resulted in more recorded owners. The original instruction manual is missing, but a jack, tools, approved fire extinguisher, and specially-built stands for relieving tire pressure during winter storage are included.
After service and inspection, the car can be used as-is and serve as a time capsule and guide for renovators of the 1957 PV 444. The cosmetic imperfections on the car do not detract from the impression that only an untouched low-mileage car can give.

Condition
-
Mechanical condition
The car is equipped with a B16A engine and a 3-speed gearbox, with a claimed output of 60 horsepower. It has a 6-volt electrical system and runs smoothly and quietly. The red hoses to the heater have been replaced previously, but new hoses for the radiator are recommended. A new 6-volt starter battery was installed in February 2023. The fuel gauge is not working, but a used replacement is included. The brakes are in need of attention.

Interior condition
The original interior from 1957 is rarely in excellent condition, but this one can be rated as such. The protective plastic that was on the door sides during delivery in 1957 is still intact. The headliner and rubber mats are in excellent condition, as seen in the pictures. The back of the driver's seat has some dirt and needs to be cleaned with mild soap. Safety belts, which were an optional feature in 1957, are fitted. The boot has an original rubber mat in excellent condition.

Exterior condition
The majority of the paintwork is original and in very good condition. The left rear wing has been repainted, but the underlying preparation was not done properly, resulting in a slightly duller finish. Please refer to the pictures for details. According to the accompanying documentation, we conclude that this work was carried out back in 1961. There is a small dent on the left front wing, and the right rear wing has some soft indentations. Please see the pictures for more information. The upper side of the left front wing has some white sun spots. The chrome and bright trims are in good condition, as are the rubber trims. There are some stone chips around the grille and lights on the front, as shown in the pictures. Newly manufactured B.F. Goodrich diagonal tires with white sidewalls were fitted in 2004.

General condition
Well-kept low-mileage car with a wonderfully preserved interior. There are a few minor external imperfections.

Facts about the model
