"The car runs well and is well maintained, and it makes an excellent first impression both cosmetically and mechanically."

Description

The car was sold new to a well-known local car enthusiast who used it until 1977, when it was purchased by a new enthusiastic owner who used it until 1979, when it was sold to a person from Kalmar. Throughout the summer, he drove sparingly until 1986, when the new passionate owners took over.
It has had some paint improvements and properly maintained over the years, and it is always garaged when not in use. It was fully repainted in the original color in 1989 and is still in excellent shape.

He now chooses to sell the car to a new enthusiastic owner because it is used far too rarely.

Facts about the model

The Lotus Elan SE (Special Equipment) is a classic sports car produced by Lotus Cars from 1962 to 1973. The 1967 model year was the first year for the Series 3 Elan, which featured a number of updates and improvements over previous models.

The 1967 Elan SE was powered by a 1.6-liter, 4-cylinder engine that produced 115 horsepower. It had a top speed of around 120 mph and could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just over 7 seconds. The Elan's lightweight construction and agile handling made it a favorite among sports car enthusiasts of the era.

Some notable features of the 1967 Elan SE included its four-wheel independent suspension, disc brakes on all four wheels, and a fiberglass body that helped keep its weight down to around 1,500 pounds. The interior was also updated for the Series 3 model year, with more comfortable seats and improved sound insulation.

Today, the Lotus Elan SE is highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts for its combination of classic style, high performance, and exceptional handling.
