"The car starts and drives nicely in the gears, but because it hasn't been used much in the last year, we're evaluating the brakes and making some adjustments to get it ready for delivery."

Description

The present owner purchased the car after it had been in storage for many years and the engine had been conserved. The project began with a comprehensive teardown and a full renovation, which took several years due to the difficulty in locating used parts. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable and prefers to rebuild and renovate cars rather than drive them. He has spent many years searching for good and NOS "New Old Stock" parts to complete the renovation to remark "example chrome bumper cost 20,000kr." The engine and transmission were in good shape, and the body had been completely renovated and repainted four years previously. The interior has been completely reupholstered, and new padding has been fitted on the seats,  new carpets, door cards, and headliner. The car is still in excellent condition today, and as previously stated, we will adjust the brakes because they are slightly sticking due to not having been used much in the last two years.

From 1954 to 1962, the Borgward Isabella was a mid-size car built by the German carmaker Borgward. The car was named after Carl F. W. Borgward's wife, and it was intended to compete with other popular European cars of the time, such as the VW Beetle, Opel Rekord, and Ford Taunus.

The 1960 Borgward Isabella featured various modifications and improvements over preceding models. It had a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produced 60 horsepower, up from the 1.4-liter engine used in previous generations. In addition, the car had a wider front track and a larger wheelbase, which improved handling and stability.

Facts about the model
