Description
By 1966, the car was transferred to the emergency preparedness register, and for the past 60 years, it has been waiting to return to the road. At some point during this period, it was used as a parts donor, but there are also signs that someone had started a restoration attempt.
Rust is primarily found in the doors and fenders, but the floor appears to have remained intact. Some parts are missing, and the car requires a complete restoration, but the foundation is solid, and this is an exclusive model that deserves to be brought back to life.

Facts about the model
The Mercedes 300, internally designated W186, was Mercedes-Benz's first completely new model after World War II, representing a major technological leap. It introduced several innovations, including an overhead-valve engine with sodium-cooled valves and an angled cylinder head to accommodate larger valves.
To compensate for heavy rear passengers, the rear suspension featured electrically adjustable torsion bars to reinforce the ride. When it was released, the Mercedes 300 was the fastest four-door sedan available for purchase.
Many of its components, including the engine, were reused and further developed for the 300SL "Gullwing", which debuted in 1954.
A Car for Leaders and Dignitaries
The Mercedes 300 was a favorite of West Germany’s first Chancellor, Konrad Adenauer, earning it the informal nickname "Adenauer".
As the most prestigious German car of its time, it was used in high-profile events, including:
King Gustav VI Adolf’s Eriksgata (Royal Tour) in 1953
John F. Kennedy’s visit to Mexico in 1962, where a 300 Cabriolet was used
The Evolution: Mercedes 300b
Introduced in March 1954, the 300b replaced the original 1951 model and featured several updates:
Redesigned front end
Front door vent windows
Larger rear window
New bumper overriders
More powerful engine
Improved brakes
A total of 8,287 units of the 300, 300b, and 300c were produced before they were succeeded by the Mercedes 300d (W189) in 1957.
