Description

This car was delivered new in Sweden on December 10, 1967. The family purchased the car in 2008 following a lengthy hunt for the ideal car to renovate. The Falköping family is well-versed in classic cars and has owned a number of prized vehicles. When the renovation was halted in 2000, the car was completely dismantled, repaired, and repainted in Highland Green before being purchased by the current owner in 2008. The rebuild was finished in 2010. You can read about what has been done to the car below; it also comes with some extra parts, "mostly carburetors, as shown in the images."

It had been off the road for more than 20 years prior to the inspection/mot in 2010. The 2-port carburetor delivers a reasonable fuel consumption of slightly over 1.2-1.5 l/mile on the road.

Original Swedish sales brochure, instruction book, Martireport, period literature, and helmet are included with the purchase.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

Annual service and overhaul, remedial maintenance such as replacement of components.

The engine is a 351C-2v (1970-71) with 2 port carburetor, was fitted sometime in the 1980's. Shortly after the purchase in 2008 fitted new carburetor and electrical components. The gearbox is replaced below -20 to an AOD, 4-speed with OverDrive, renovated by a specialist. New oil seal and gaskets for the drive shafts.

Associated components for the driveline are in good condition and in some cases in new condition, such as radiators, exhaust systems, air purifiers, etc. Excellent brakes and a power steering rack that has been upgraded for improved road handling. Nice alloy wheels and tires

  • Interior condition:

The interior is spotless and in good shape, with new floor mats, armrest, and speakers. Parts have been replaced or supplemented over the years. The fold-down rear seat allows for plenty of practical loading space.

  • Exterior condition:

It was repainted in Highland Green in 2000 and is still in excellent shape. Over the years, new rubber seals and chrome features, such as bumpers and sill strips, have been replaced or renovated. The chassis has been painted / varnished, and a front spoiler has been retrofitted.

  • General condition:

This is a cool car that has been very well kept and rebuilt thoroughly, and has always been maintained to a high standard. It is all set to drive away.
