Condition
-
Mechanical condition
The engine starts easily, and the transmission shifts smoothly after a recently replaced seal and an oil change. In the engine bay, there are remnants of an alarm system and a practical main power switch.
-
Interior condition
Worn-in leather interior with the usual entry wear on the driver's seat. The headliner is in good condition, while the driver's side carpet is dirty. Otherwise, it has a normal patina for its mileage. The power sunroof may need a little push assistance at the end of closing. Good heating, but the AC needs to be refilled/sealed.
-
Exterior condition
Repainted at some point, with a noticeable paint defect on the right rear fender. Lowered, featuring nice and newer aftermarket wheels fitted with Toyo winter tires in the front and BF Goodrich summer tires in the rear—both with good tread, though the latter were manufactured in week 49 of 2018. There is a small hole in the left rear wheel well from a previous repair (see picture). Chrome trim for the wheel arches is included in the trunk for those who prefer it. The headlight wipers have been removed, with parts of the arms remaining. The exterior photos were partially taken during persistent snowfall, hence the white specks visible in the images.
-
General condition
From a positive perspective, the car exudes a kind of playful decadence that can be associated with a variety of things, while also offering a great deal of period luxury for the money.

Facts about the model
Technically, the car was an evolution of the W116. On V8 versions, the engine blocks were cast in aluminum, unlike the W116, which featured cast iron blocks. Anti-lock brakes were available from the start, and an airbag became an option in the fall of 1981. The model remained in production until 1991.
