Description
The car has now been brought out of storage and was recently inspected at the official vehicle inspection station on 2026-05-05. It received 3 minor remarks: high CO emissions at idle, windshield washer not functioning, and one position light not working. These items will need to be addressed by the buyer. Once corrected, the car must return for a follow-up inspection. If completed no later than 2026-06-05, a full reinspection will not be required.

Mechanical condition
According to the owner, the car runs well both mechanically and through the gearbox. During the initial test drive, it occasionally wanted to stall when the engine was cold. However, during the most recent drives, once the engine had reached proper operating temperature, the issue did not reoccur. We believe that a general tune-up including inspection of spark plugs, filters, etc., would be beneficial — a suitable and enjoyable bit of tinkering for the next owner.
The car is equipped with Opel’s robust 2.5-liter inline six-cylinder CIH engine (“Camshaft In Head”). In this carbureted version, the engine is rated at 130 hp. The gearbox is a 3-speed automatic transmission. -
Interior condition
Presents well and appears to be nicely preserved. We do not know the condition of the seats underneath the protective seat covers.

Exterior condition
Gives a solid and intact impression. Nothing has been rebuilt or altered from its original appearance. There are some cosmetic blemishes in the form of surface rust and a few minor dents. Surprisingly little, considering how prone these Opels were to rust. There is also some surface rust in the luggage compartment. Please study the photos carefully.
Working sunroof. Older tires that are at least 15 years old. -

A sought-after Opel Coupé that was a dream car for many young enthusiasts during the 1970s.

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
