Description
That attention to detail is also evident in the car itself, which shows no visible rust on the body and hardly any dents or other damage. The square headlights that were standard on the 1987 2CV were replaced by the owner with round ones, and the unused original headlights are included with the car. The original seats are also included, having been replaced by more modern seats that, however, take up more space in the cabin. A toolbox also comes with the vehicle.
Towards the end of his life, the first owner gave the car away, and it is now the second owner who has decided to sell it. He has owned the car since 2019 but has hardly used it. The car is inspected and approved until 2027-08-31, and the odometer currently reads 27,270 kilometers. A service book is included, though not fully stamped; instead, detailed notes of work carried out can be found in one of the binders that come with the purchase. Two sets of keys are included.
Technical data
Condition
-
Mechanical condition
Starts and runs well, shifts smoothly, and no issues were experienced with either the brakes or suspension at the time of documentation. The tires have good tread depth but are of older date.
The car has been fitted with an electric fuel pump, which is activated at startup using a toggle switch. A reverse light has been mounted underneath the body. The few other electrical functions present, such as the fan and windshield wipers, work properly, as does the Clarion CD radio installed in the car.
The exhaust system has been repaired somewhat crudely, but it functions as intended. -
Interior condition
The previous owner replaced the front seats with more modern, more comfortable, but also larger seats. The original seats are included with the car and are in very good condition, although the mounting brackets need to be repaired before the seats can be reinstalled.
The rest of the interior is in very good condition, consistent with the car’s low mileage. The cabin also features some of the owner’s own solutions for additional gauges and a mounting board for a mobile phone. There are no fewer than three layers of floor mats in the front of the cabin, meaning the original carpet underneath appears virtually unused.
A sound-insulation mat that was originally fitted to the inside of the hood has been removed, though traces of it remain. -
Exterior condition
The body is in very good condition and shows hardly any signs of use. The plastic registration plates are period-correct, and the fact that they too are in such fine condition demonstrates how carefully this car has been treated.
A 2CV6 Club should technically have square headlights, but the previous owner replaced them with round units. The original headlights are included with the purchase.
The soft top is in good condition apart from a small tear where a snap button should be located on the left side, and on the right side a snap button is also missing. However, this does not significantly affect the functionality of the roof. -
General condition
A low-mileage Citroën 2CV that has been properly stored and carefully used throughout its life. As far as can be determined, this is an untouched original car that has neither been repainted nor undergone rust repairs to the bodywork. The personal modifications made by the first owner can easily be returned to original specification for anyone who wishes to do so.
The car has recently been serviced and is ready to be enjoyed by a new owner.

Facts about the model
In October 1948, the Citroën 2CV was finally unveiled to the public for the first time. The initial version featured a two-cylinder air-cooled boxer engine of 375 cc producing nine horsepower.
Over the years, the Citroën 2CV evolved, and several derivatives based on the same platform were introduced. Yet the original model proved impossible to discontinue. From 1974 onward, the 2CV normally came with rectangular headlights, with exceptions made for special editions such as the two-tone Charleston models. In 1981, front disc brakes and a dual-circuit braking system were introduced.
The 2CV had not been sold in Sweden for many years, but during the 1980s it experienced a revival there as private importation became easier. Most cars were imported from Denmark. Production in France ended in 1988, but manufacturing continued in Portugal until July 27, 1990, when the final 2CV left the Mangualde factory.
In total, 5,114,961 examples of the Citroën 2CV were produced.
