"Hardtail Harley with springer forks, featuring some older custom styling and updates. It’s ready to ride, just needs a few small adjustments."

Description

The current owner is passionate about old bikes and bought this one around two years ago. It had already been modified with classic custom touches, including a deleted front mudguard, shortened rear mudguard, high-rise handlebars, a more modern headlight, and various other details. Although it hadn’t been ridden in many years, the engine turned over with good compression. The bike was reviewed and fixed and brought back to life, and re-registered in 2024.

It was ridden last summer and runs fine, though a few minor jobs remain. These include adjusting the front brake, possibly swapping the carburetor jets (a spare set is included), fine-tuning the carburetor, and replacing a few missing engine covers. The next owner can enjoy it as-is or take it further by restoring it closer to its original specification.

There is no available documentation to verify the bike's early history or origin.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition

Reviewed last year, the bike received several essential replacements and upgrades, including a modern carburetor and fuel system, a newer ignition coil, a custom battery box, and a hand-made copper exhaust. It starts after a few kicks and runs well, with the engine, gearbox, and rear brake all in good working order. The front brake could use some adjustment.

Whitewall tires add a classic touch to the solid wheels, and an extra set of carburetor jets is included for easy tuning. Newly registered and inspection-exempt for life, it’s ready to ride—just a few minor tweaks away from being fully dialed in.

  • Interior condition

Fitted with a newer seat in good condition

  • Exterior condition

The black and white paint has been resprayed at some point in the bike’s life. Overall, the paintwork presents well, though some paint chips are visible. The lower white section of the tank appears to have been hand-painted. The tank itself is in good condition, with a small dent underneath on the left side. Chrome tank trims are included but not yet fitted. There is some surface rust on the gearshift pedal mount.

  • General condition

A always sought-after 1940s Harley, with plenty of options for the next owner—enjoy it as it is, or take it back toward a more original look
