"A major project requiring the right buyer with the knowledge and connections to carry out a full renovation. Alternatively, it could be taken in a different direction as a restomod or hot rod.

The car is largely complete, with body, frame, and panels intact, and it retains its original engine and gearbox etc.."

Description

The car was imported in 1996 from Uruguay to a collector in Denmark, who purchased it unseen for around $6,000. With high Danish import duties and taxes, it became a costly acquisition. However, upon arrival it was discovered that the rear body had been modified and was not original—something the owner had neither expected nor wanted.

In 1999, the current owner acquired the car. Having previously restored a similar model, he also had access to additional parts, allowing the car to be returned to its correct original configuration. It was then brought to Sweden, where it has remained stored in the owner’s workshop.

The car now has the correct rear body and hood frame fitted. It is relatively complete, and a large number of newly manufactured parts have been purchased to support the restoration. This includes new timber for the body frame (partially completed, including the doors) and newly cast brass components that require chroming.

A full renovation project, owned for 27 years—everything requires restoration. Due to its position in the workshop close to a wall, it has been difficult to fully document in photos, but a detailed video is available in which the owner walks through the car and its history.

As an added bonus, the sale includes an additional frame with chassis number, along with a large number of useful spare parts (see photos).
