Description

1930 Dodge Six Sedan

Equipped with a straight-six engine producing 45 hp.
This car was fully restored from an old forest-found EPA tractor conversion back to near-new condition in 1980 in Smedjebacken. It was sold to Långshyttan in 1992 and then brought down to Skåne in 1997. The owner at that time drove it until 2001, when it was parked in a barn—where it remained until recently.

The car was owned by my father-in-law. I’ve only checked that the engine turns over and the gears engage, but it has not been test-started.

The years in storage have naturally taken a toll on the paint and chrome, but the bodywork itself is generally solid with no significant rust.
It’s an older restoration that has now gained a charming patina and features a well-preserved interior.
The car is permanently road-inspected (veteran status), but will need a full mechanical check to be made roadworthy again.
Since its restoration, it has only been driven about 150 km.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

The engine turns over with the starter but does not fire. A mechanical inspection and start-up service are needed, as the car hasn’t been driven in many years.

  • Interior condition:

Reupholstered interior in good condition, with no moisture stains or major damage.

  • Exterior condition:

An older restoration with patina—paint shows signs of spray filler spots and surface rust appearing in various areas across the body. The chrome has peeled and is corroded in several places.

  • General condition:

A charming classic car that, after a start-up service, can be enjoyed as-is and given a cosmetic restoration after the season.
