Some repairs and replacements have been made due to faults that have arisen. Other repairs and replacements have been made as a preventive measure, and if, during inspection, I have received a remark about upcoming needs (i.e., not a fault), I have immediately replaced the part that was mentioned. A car like this should not accumulate small faults as it spoils the overall impression.
Other repairs have been made with knowledge that these are a weak point on this model with a V12 engine, such as overheating in the very cramped engine compartment where the entire cooling system has been replaced (and coolant channels in the block and cylinder head cleaned). The fuel hoses have also been replaced as my previous XJ-S caught fire in the engine compartment due to cracks in the hoses that leaked directly onto the distributor.
Boot Lock replaced in 2021 (apparently a weak point on this model)
Hinge left door replaced in 2021.
Tie rod end and steering gear boot replaced in 2022
Parking brake pads replaced in 2022
At the same time, the brake pads for the rear disc brakes were checked. No need to replace for a long time. Replacing the rear brake pads takes an experienced Jaguar mechanic 6.5 hours (according to Joe's Garage in Furulund), which is why many people cut corners on this.
New radiator in 2021, repair (resoldering) of the expansion tank in 2022.
New bushings for the body roll bar. Purchased but not yet installed but included.
Wheel alignment in 2022
Temperature gauge refurbished in 2021
Windshield wiper motor, washer pump replaced in 2021
Front wheel bearings replaced in 2021.
Engine and transmission removed in 2021. Cylinder head gasket was leaking and was replaced. Cylinder heads machined, block inspected and approved. All connecting rod bolts replaced.
New water pump. All coolant channels cleaned. New spark plugs. Oil + filter changed.
All fuel hoses in the engine compartment replaced.
All coolant hoses in the engine compartment replaced with silicone-based hoses in 2022.
Timing chain, timing cover gasket, chain cover gasket, timing belt replaced in 2021.
Catalytic converters replaced in 2021.
New (and more powerful) battery replaced in 2021.
Distributor cap and rotor replaced in 2023.

Mechanical condition
Your purchasing a well maintained XJS Cabriolet, as previously described, with numerous significant repairs and improvements completed. The car runs and drives as a proper XJS should, offering a truly enjoyable driving experience. The only minor issue is a ticking noise in the power steering during cold starts, which disappears once the car has warmed up and is being driven. All electrical components are in working order, including windows, mirrors, seats, and the roof, with no pixelation on the displays. This classic Jaguar is ready for its new owner to cherish and enjoy and just had a new oil and filter service in April.

Interior condition
The interior of this Jaguar features beautiful beige leather seats that are in great condition, showing no damage, just normal wear. The instrument panels and wooden trims are clean and well-maintained, contributing to the car's overall charm. A Motolita steering wheel adds a touch of elegance (though the original wheel is included in the sale), along with the gear knob. The carpets are in good shape, with only slight wear on the edges of the driver's mat.

Exterior condition
The bodywork is straight and has clean lines with no signs of damage or rust, and this extends to the underbody as well. The paintwork is well-maintained and presentable, with only a few minor blemishes. The alloy wheels are clean and attractive, fitted with quality tires that ensure a smooth and comfortable ride.
The convertible roof is in good condition, with only a small scuff to note (refer to the picture provided), and it comes with a clip-on cover for added protection. -
General condition
Well maintained car that has been diligently cared for by its owner. With a simple turn of the key, you can enjoy the captivating purr of the V12 engine, making it the perfect companion for unforgettable summer adventures.

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
