Description
In 1988, an 18-year-old from Tibro took the train to Stockholm and drove home with his dream car - this Camaro, which was then red metallic. Two years later, an extensive renovation began. Eighteen layers of paint (!) were sanded off. Much of the sheet metal was replaced, including the inner fenders, rear quarter panels, trunk floor, and half of the coupe floor. Everything was meticulously executed, including lead filling. The car was repainted in the original Ermine White color, starting from bare metal. A 402 cubic inch engine from an El Camino was acquired and completely rebuilt at Freds Motor in Skövde. The entire work on both the car and the engine is well-documented with receipts and photos.
Now, almost 35 years later, it's time to sell the car that was owned at the age of 18. The main reason is that it is barely used, with only a few km driven each year in recent years.

Mechanical condition
The 402 cubic inch engine was rebuilt in the early 1990s. Since then, the engine block has been re-lined once in 2008, and it now has a more aggressive camshaft and new lifters. The original camshaft is still available. The engine performs well with significant torque. To improve exhaust flow, it has a dual 3-inch exhaust system. Some vibrations are present, likely because the camshaft is not designed for low-speed driving. It may be a bit difficult to start after extended periods of inactivity. The car retains its original 4-speed M20 transmission and 10-bolt limited-slip differential rear axle. The electrical system was replaced around 2010. The fuel gauge and headlight door mechanisms are not fully functional.

Interior condition
Original red interior which was left during the renovation. Essentially complete. Painted parts were done in 1990. The chair backs have received a period-appropriate custom paint. An aftermarket set of gauges installed on the center console. Otherwise, the interior is stained from age and use, with the driver's seat cracked in the seat.

Exterior condition
Front bumper was replaced in 1990 when the car was painted. Later, blisters have formed from the spray filler, most noticeably on the roof and trunk lid, as well as a few other panels. Otherwise, the paint has held up well without any noticeable damage.

General condition
Powerful classic muscle car restored according to the standards of its time. Well-crafted metalwork and robust in mechanics and engine.

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
