"I drove the car over 100 kilometers without any issues or overheating. It runs well with a stable drive and good road handling. The engine, brakes, and gearbox perform smoothly, though there is no overdrive. Some fixes are needed for the gauges and speedometer cable. The car is inspected/MOTed exempt and ready to be driven home."

Description

The car was imported from the USA to Sweden in 1990 and originally painted white. The current owner acquired the car in 2015, following three previous owners. During the owner's 8-year tenure, they have performed minor fixes and regular oil changes, while entrusting larger repairs to a local specialist in Jonköping. Recently had the brakes renovated and stainless steel exhaust fitted

The previous owner had maintained the car well, as evident from the attached receipts. The car is stored in a garage during winter and regularly used as a summer car. In recent years, it has even participated in time trials, as indicated by the attached Terratrip 2 meter. The focus has always been on having a reliable driver's car rather than a pristine showpiece.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition

The car is permanently exempt from inspection/MOT and is ready to be driven home. It requires a few fixes, including replacing the speedometer and odometer cable due to the Terra Trip meter addition. The oil gauge temp sensor needs replacement, and there is a slight dampness around the valve cover, potentially requiring a gasket replacement. The car comes with good tires and wheels, and there are various small replacement parts included, as seen in the pictures.

  • Interior condition

The interior is fresh and clean, with good carpets, door cards, seats, and headliner. However, there are two small holes in the rear panels of the driver's seat and a few marks on the headliner, as shown in the pictures.

  • Exterior condition

The car has been repainted from white to red, likely over 30 years ago. There are micro blisters and some small marks in the paintwork, as seen in the pictures. However, the bodywork is straight with no dents or visible rust, and the underbody is clean. The chrome detailing and bumpers are in good condition. There is evidence of older repair work in the inner corner of the bonnet, as shown in the pictures. Overall, the car presents a respectable appearance.

  • General condition

The car has a cool look and a satisfying sound from its 6-cylinder engine. It drives well and feels reliable. You have the choice to make some small fixes or enjoy it as is for many years ahead, with the possibility of a repaint later.
