Mechanical condition
The owner has been an active driver on the track in historic racing and also a skilled mechanic who has renovated and maintained his race cars himself. He drove the MG on regular roads, and the car is originally lively and well-balanced, but he has prepared the engine and chassis for even more enjoyable driving. The MGF was equipped with a special suspension called HydraGas, not unlike Citroën's gas-hydraulic suspension/damping system.
The car couldn't be properly test-driven during documentation, so the system needs to be filled/pumped and the pressure checked in the small gas spheres for the suspension, height, and damping to function correctly. The clutch engages sharply and early, which may indicate that the owner has also modified that part, but it could also mean that it needs fluid refilling in the master cylinder. -
Interior condition
The leather interior is in a fresh basic condition, but the entire interior needs cleaning, and the driver's seat could use some treatment as there is some tendency for entry wear. Otherwise, the two luggage/storage compartments that a mid-engine car offers are neat and clean.

Exterior condition
The car is a bit dirty and dusty from being in the garage, and there are also white specks from some cleaning agent, but underneath it, the original paint appears to be in good condition. The soft top is intact and nice, could use a bit of cleaning as well. Good protection for the soft top. Nice wheels with some minor scrapes and Good Year Eagle F1 tires with good tread.

Affordable and lots of driving pleasure for the money for those who address the needs of what appears to be a previously well-maintained, low-mileage, and carefully cared for car in good condition.

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
