Description
Purchased by the current owner in 1978, and the previous owner had replaced the 2.4 engine with a 3.4. The gearbox is a 4-speed with a functioning overdrive. The car underwent a full restoration in the 1980s (see owner's comment) and was then deregistered from the vehicle registry, re-registered in 1996. It has been stored in a garage for an extended period but has now been started up and inspected.

Mechanical condition
The car runs smoothly and functions well. Recently replaced parts include: fuel pump, new battery, new spark plugs, engine oil and filter, clutch slave cylinder, refurbishment of brake and clutch master cylinder, synchronized carburetor, and brake light swich replacement.

Reupholstered interior in very good condition, the car has hardly been used since this was done.

Exterior condition
The paint has developed spray filler spots and should be repainted to be truly nice. The chrome is in top condition, as are the wheels and tires.

A nice and ready-to-drive Jaguar, use it this summer and give it a new paint job for the winter.

Owner's comment
We bought the car in 1978 from Smålands Jaguarservice in Virserum. Previous owner had replaced the engine from a 2.4 to a 3.4 liter version. The car stood in our garage for a few years during renovation, until we decided to have Smålands Jaguarservice completely renovate the car. For about 10 years it stood in Virserum, where basically everything was renovated, engine, body, interior. The bodywork was handed over to Autolack in Vimmerby and we got back a fantastic car. During these 10 years, we invested about 200,000 SEK in the renovation, and the first inspection after the renovation was done in 1996. Pictures from the renovation as well as most of the invoices are preserved. Unfortunately, after 10-15 years, it turned out that the filler used by Autolack swelled and created "acne"-like bumps in an otherwise very nice paint. We have used the car very sparingly, a total mileage of less than about 200 km. In recent years, the car has been standing still in our garage for 10-12 years, until we decided to sell it. After an oil change and carburetor adjustment, the car has been started and inspected again, ready to be driven by a new owner.

For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
