"The car is in very good condition and has been well maintained throughout. All functions are in working order except for the fan. It runs and drives smoothly, providing a stable and enjoyable driving experience. The open-top summer feeling is simply unbeatable."

Description

The current owner purchased the car from a dealership on July 22, 1976, when the odometer showed just under 50,000 km. The car was primarily driven by the owner's wife until the summer of 1981, when it was taken off the road due to drivetrain issues. It was then stored in a garage until 1987, when a comprehensive restoration was begun.

Professional repairs were carried out, including replacement of both the front and rear fenders. The body was repainted in its attractive original color. A replacement engine was installed by Malte Månsson AB in 1988. At the same time, the clutch, starter motor, driveshafts, and rear brake drums were replaced.

The braking system was completely overhauled with new brake lines, hoses, brake shoes, brake discs, and front calipers. The strut assemblies and shock absorbers were replaced, as were the steering joints, windshield, and wiper motor. The wheels were refurbished and repainted, and new tires were fitted.

The car passed inspection on July 4, 1994, and was subsequently returned to the road with a new registration number, as it had previously been removed from the register. The odometer reading at the time of inspection was 88,600 km.

Since then, the car has been driven only approximately 150–200 km per year, exclusively in fair summer weather, and has been garage-kept year-round. The car is in excellent overall condition, with only a few very minor items remaining for a future owner to address if desired.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition

Everything is in working order except for the fan. There is very little else to remark upon. The tires are old but have excellent tread depth and, according to the owner, have covered only approximately 500–600 km. There is no evidence of cracking. The wheels have been tastefully widened, giving the car an attractive stance.

  • Interior condition

There is very little to remark upon overall. For the particularly discerning buyer, there is a small burn mark on the passenger seat. It is purely superficial and has not penetrated the upholstery.

  • Exterior condition

The paintwork presents exceptionally well, with a deep gloss and excellent finish. There are a few minor marks on the bumpers that could likely be removed, either fully or partially, but they do not detract from the overall appearance. A small area of damage is present at the lower rear section of the body beneath the bumper, adjacent to the exhaust outlets. It is minor and largely insignificant. As previously mentioned, a new windshield has been fitted. All exterior trim was replaced during the restoration.

  • General condition

A beautifully restored and exceptionally well-preserved example, cared for by a meticulous owner. The restoration has been carried out with great attention to originality, preserving the character and authenticity of the car throughout.
