Description
No further history from its time in the United States is available. The car was imported to Sweden in 2011 and registered to its first Swedish owner, who resided in Höganäs. It was subsequently sold to an owner in Linköping, who carried out various restoration and refurbishment works, including the engine rebuild. The current owner acquired the car in 2014 and has used it very sparingly since. The most recent vehicle inspection was carried out in 2014.
Technical data
Condition
-
Mechanical condition
The car runs and drives very well, with both the engine and transmission feeling strong and solid. The power steering and air conditioning are no longer fitted. All other functions appear to operate satisfactorily, with the exception of the clock, which has stopped working.
The power-operated convertible top was initially somewhat reluctant when being raised, but according to the owner it had not been used in the raised position for 7–8 years. With a little exercise and assistance, its operation improved. After many years of limited use, it would likely benefit from lubrication and routine maintenance.
The tires are older but have covered very few miles and therefore retain excellent tread depth. The radiator and alternator have been replaced by the current owner. -
Interior condition
The interior presents well overall, with the seating surfaces remaining in very good condition throughout. While the cabin would benefit from a thorough professional detailing to bring it to its full potential, it remains an attractive and well-preserved environment.
-
Exterior condition
The exterior presents well overall but would benefit from a comprehensive professional detailing, which would significantly enhance the car’s overall appearance. There is a minor scratch in the windshield caused by worn wiper blades. It appears to be superficial and could likely be improved or reduced with appropriate treatment.
-
General condition
A fundamentally solid car that, with a little care in the form of detailing and minor cosmetic attention, could be brought to an even higher standard. A charming and highly appealing classic model that continues to attract enthusiasts and admirers alike.
