"The car runs very well and makes a good impression both inside and out. With its 280 horsepower, it offers strong torque and rapid acceleration."

Description

Here we have a rare and highly desirable Alpina B10 3.3 – an exclusive sports saloon that combines the classic BMW driving experience with Alpina’s unique refinement. The car was imported and has been in Sweden since 2004.

Under the bonnet lies the highly regarded 3.3-litre inline-six M52 engine, producing 280 horsepower with a character that is both powerful and silky smooth. Among enthusiasts, this engine is often considered the most desirable option in the B10 range thanks to its low weight, excellent balance, proven reliability, and distinctive six-cylinder soundtrack. According to the previous owner, the engine remains completely original, with no tuning or other modifications.

For those who appreciate a more engaging exhaust note, the centre silencer has been removed, giving the car a fuller and sportier sound without affecting its ability to pass inspection. The result is an exhaust note that perfectly suits the car’s character and further enhances the driving experience.

The car presents very well overall, especially considering its age and mileage. The bodywork is in good condition, and both the paintwork and underbody have been treated with rust protection. Finished in elegant Orient Blue Metallic and complemented by Alpina’s signature styling details, the car has an exclusive and timeless appearance that continues to attract attention.

Equipment levels are generous and include sport seats, a sport steering wheel, multifunction steering wheel, cruise control, onboard computer, power windows, power mirrors, tinted windows, wood trim, stereo with CD player, remote central locking, Xenon headlights, Angel Eyes, and Alpina’s distinctive alloy wheels. The car was previously equipped with a detachable tow bar, although its current status is unknown.

The Alpina B10 3.3 offers a rare combination of performance, comfort, and exclusivity. For the collector or enthusiast seeking something considerably more special than an ordinary BMW, opportunities like this seldom arise. A well-preserved and exceptionally rare Alpina that delivers just as much driving enjoyment today as it did when new. The car is accompanied by its service book and additional documentation – please refer to the photographs.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition

The engine and drivetrain perform well, with the engine feeling responsive and eager. The brakes operate effectively, and the car feels stable and composed on the road. The air conditioning system is currently not functioning.

A detachable tow bar is included with the car, although information regarding its current status is unavailable. The vehicle most recently underwent a registration inspection in 2020; however, the reason for this inspection is not known.

  • Interior condition

The interior is in very good condition overall, showing only normal signs of use that do not detract from the car’s presentation. The rear centre armrest does not remain in the upright position and tends to fold down on its own. The cabin is clean, well-kept, and presents as a well-cared-for example.

  • Exterior condition

The car has been professionally repainted to a high standard. The finish is glossy, well-executed, and presents very well overall. The underbody appears to be in good condition.

The Alpina badges on the bonnet and boot lid have lost some of their original lustre and now appear slightly faded. The alloy wheels are in good condition and complement the car’s overall presentation nicely.

  • General condition

A purposeful and potent Alpina presented in good driver-quality condition, both inside and out. Offering the rare blend of performance, exclusivity, and everyday usability for which Alpina is renowned, this is an engaging enthusiast’s car that can be enjoyed as intended.

The vehicle is due for its next roadworthiness inspection no later than July 2026.

Facts about the model

The story of BMW Alpina began in the early 1960s with a performance-enhancing carburettor developed for the BMW 1500. The modification was so successful that it received official factory approval from BMW, laying the foundation for what would become a thriving tuning and engineering company. Over the following decades, Alpina evolved into a respected performance specialist and a highly successful partner to BMW in motorsport, particularly throughout the 1970s and 1980s.

From 1988 onwards, Alpina focused exclusively on refining BMW automobiles, developing vehicles that combined enhanced performance, luxury, and exclusivity while maintaining full manufacturer-level quality and reliability. In 2022, BMW acquired Alpina, becoming the sole owner of the historic marque and securing its future within the BMW Group.

Today, Alpina remains one of the most respected names in the automotive world, renowned for creating some of the most refined and desirable high-performance BMW-based vehicles ever produced.
