The Citroën runs perfectly, feels stable on the road, and shifts smoothly. The active suspension functions flawlessly, as do the air conditioning and all other equipment.

Nice original interior with minimal signs of use. Fabric floor mats are in unworn condition. Cargo area privacy cover is included.

Exterior condition
The car's paint is in good condition, with a scratch on one of the rear doors and a touch-up above the windshield. Otherwise, only a few minor stone chip touch-ups and door dings. Trim and emblems are in great shape. Original alloy wheels fitted with good tires.

Facts about the model
The Citroën XM is a model from the French automaker Citroën. It shared its platform with the Peugeot 605, with the key exception of its suspension—Citroën’s renowned gas-hydraulic system. In 1990, it was awarded European Car of the Year. This flagship model for Citroën throughout the 1990s was produced until 2000. The mid-size Citroën C5 replaced both the XM and the Citroën Xantia in 2001. It wasn't until 2006 that Citroën introduced a new full-size successor in the form of the Citroën C6.
The XM was available in both hatchback and estate versions, both featuring the brand's signature hydropneumatic suspension. In the 1995 model year, the XM received a light facelift (Phase 2, model code Y4), which included new headlights, side mirrors, grille, and interior updates.
The XM also introduced the Hydractive system—a computer-controlled suspension that adjusted stiffness and, to some extent, body roll depending on driving conditions and driver input. Hydractive was a highly advanced system that embodied Citroën's commitment to cutting-edge technology. At the time, the XM was one of the most electronically advanced cars on the market, with computers managing most vehicle functions. An additional shared gas sphere per axle allowed for a softer suspension in normal mode; when valves to that sphere were closed, a firmer, sportier suspension was activated. This allowed the car’s ride height and stiffness to adapt in real time, combining high comfort with excellent road handling.

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
