Facts about the model
Technically, it was based on the Fiat Panda model, a sibling within the same automotive group. However, the Y10 had its own unique body design and was marketed as an exclusive alternative in the small car segment. The design was characterized by its angular and minimalist appearance, which contributed to its low aerodynamic resistance. The rear end had a sharply cut-off design, and it is worth noting that the rear hatch of most versions was black regardless of the body color.
The Y10 was available only as a three-door hatchback and offered three petrol engine options ranging from 1.0 to 1.3 liters in displacement. The standard equipment was extensive, and over the years, there were numerous limited-edition special variants. In Sweden, the model was sold through SAAB dealerships during the 1980s.
The Lancia Y10 underwent a facelift in the early 1990s and was produced until 1996 when it was replaced by the Y model.
