This excellent example of the classic Land Rover, with roots in the late 1940s, was purchased by the current owner in 2015. At that time, it had already traveled approximately 25,000 km. Since then, it has been driven an additional 42,000 km. The family has owned several English cars, including older Land Rovers. Therefore, it was natural for the current owner to seize the opportunity to acquire one of the later models when news of them ceasing production reached them. It has never been driven in rough terrain, although it would easily handle it. The condition is excellent, with some minor damage to the rear corners of the body, as shown in the pictures. It is equipped with the much-improved diesel engine derived from Ford, allowing it to easily keep up with today's traffic. Constant four-wheel drive, a six-speed manual gearbox with high and low gears, and a lockable center differential enable it to tackle most surfaces. The choice of tire type depends on how the vehicle is intended to be used, ensuring optimal grip. It is equipped with a radio/CD player with an auxiliary input, a folding/split rear seat, an externally mounted spare wheel, classic window winders, as well as a traditional heating system without AC/ACC. It even features side roof windows, reminiscent of the early 1950s Land Rovers. In other words, it is a Land Rover just as one would recognize it.

Mechanical condition
The car has not been driven much in recent years but started easily with the new battery that was purchased for the sale. The engine runs well as does the gearbox. High and low gears also work. Invested 47,000 SEK with Land Rover specialist at 67,260 km.

Interior condition
The car is in very good condition, except for a previous owner's dropped cigar that caused a hole in the upholstery of the driver's seat. There is also some minor wear on the driver's seat entry area. There is a slight "smudge mark" on the headliner from heavy loading. Additionally, there is a small hole on the inside/upholstery of the rear door.

Exterior condition
The car is in very good condition overall. There are some minor dents on the aluminum panels of the body. There are small signs of impact damage on the rear lower corners of the body. The spare wheel cover has a tear. The original tires show signs of wear.

A Land Rover of the latest generation in a well-maintained, excellent used condition. It has been meticulously serviced and cherished by the current owner.

Facts about the model
In April 1948, the Land Rover was introduced as a robust work vehicle. Over the years, it saw the introduction of various body styles, both in shorter and longer wheelbase versions. In 1958, the Series II was introduced with an extended wheelbase, offering 88 and 109 inches. In 1971, the Series III was launched. Despite their reputation for ruggedness, Land Rovers became increasingly civilized over the years. This is particularly evident in the 1983 transition from the Series III to the new Defender, which offered a more modern design. This Land Rover Defender represents the final facelift of the model, featuring a significantly more modern engine derived from Ford, which owned Land Rover at the time.

For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
